Young Fast Optoelectronics Inc., and AIS Corporation sign MOU for tablet size glass capacitive touch panel alliance
Taoyuan, Taiwan, June 8, 2010, Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (YFO), a leading touch panel supplier, and AIS Corporation (AIS), a leading color filter and glass touch sensor maker in Aomori, Japan, have signed a MOU for mid size glass capacitive touch panel cooperation. YFO will invest in AIS as a cooperation partner, while AIS guarantees capacity of sheet glass touch panels to YFO.
The alliance is aiming for the projected explosive tablet size touch panel market. YFO will be able to secure glass sensor capacity through the investment, and AIS will reserve at least 20,000 sheets of its production capacity, roughly equalizing 160,000 pieces of 10” touch panels, for YFO. The alliance ensures YFO flexible production capacity and even more competitive products for customers. AIS already possesses various sizes of sheet glass lines, ranging from 370mmx470mm up to 550mmx650mm, for color filter and touch panel, and the technical team have experience in producing ditto touch sensors!

The alliance combines resources from both companies further increase efficiency for the development of next generation products.”
The investment is subject to be approved by YFO’s and AIS’ board respectively!
