The Optoelectronics Division is established in Taoyuan, Taiwan.
The Optoelectronics Division changes its name to Young Fast Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. and begins its pilot run of touch panels.
Mass production of small to medium-sized panels starts in the 7,128 square meter production facility that includes a 3,888 square meter clean room.
Obtains the “panel-based batch working” patents in Taiwan and China. This advanced manufacturing process allows Young Fast to reduce the curling of small to medium-sized panels, and results in a more stable output performance and more reliable products.
The Kuan Yin factory of Taoyuan Taiwan receives ISO9001-2000 approval, and is also approved by world-class vendors. High volume shipment to the worldwide mobile phone market has begun.
Production capability expands by deploying semi-auto production lines and a back production inspection process line in Ping Hu, China to raise manufacturing response and flexibility. The Ping Hu factory receives ISO 9001-2000 approval.
Introduces advanced film/glass touch panels that significantly enhance the transparency of ITO films by up to 87%.
A mobile phone using Young Fast’s touch panels sets the Guinness World Record for “the fastest Chinese character input” proving the quality and sensitive response of Young Fast’s panels.
The mass production and high volume shipment of Young Fast’s unique film/film/PC flat touch panels begins.
Develops and launches the world’s first profitable lens type touch panels.
Second production facility expansion of the Ping Hu, China to further increase monthly capacity.
The Hui Zhou factory in China is set up to implement a complete manufacturing process from front-end production to back-end inspection.
